It is a good idea to always keep liquid benadryl or the equivalent in supply and handy, keep caps in the car, just in case, and work should have a first aid kit handy, if not have your boss get one. I have been involved with the red cross off and on since I was a kid, kept my certs up except for a few years, on safety committees at jobs, first responder a long time, and a good first aid kit is priceless when you need one. Of course, if you know you are sensitive to something you should already carry an epi-pen. Either will help you get to the hospital if you have a bad reaction or more than a few stings. Us beekeepers should also keep epi-pens and at least a veil and hat handy at all times, preferably a suit too except for winter. Other than keeping benadryl or the equivalent or even an epi-pen, your best weapon is knowledge. Be aware of the local insects, hornets, wasps, yellow jackets, etc... Be on the lookout a wasp can hit you just because you walked by.
